Applications
Through the Student Leader Selection process, you have the opportunity to apply for multiple positions through one common application. Some positions are very competitive, so students are encouraged to apply for all positions they are interested in. As part of your application, you will have the opportunity to rank all positions you are applying for, and these rankings will be taken into account when the hiring teams come together to finalize placements.
The essay questions for the application are:
- Why are you interested in the student leadership position(s) for which you have applied?
- How will you use a leadership position to impact the campus community in a positive way?
- How will you challenge yourself to learn and grow in regards to diversity and social justice?
- Often student leaders are role models on campus. What does being a role model mean to you?
Applicants will be required to upload a current resume as part of the application. Please consider contacting the Career Development Center for assistance with developing your resume and your interview skills.
Interviews
Although you will complete a single online application form for all of the positions available through the selection process, each hiring office will be conducting their own separate interviews. This is important to note because the interview process may differ for each position that you apply for. Make sure to pay close attention to your emails because each office you apply for that is interested in interviewing you will reach out individually with interview information and instructions.
