Social Justice Programs

Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK has a long tradition of promoting social justice on our campus and in our wider community. The Wesley Center provides programming for students to engage in the multifaceted work of social justice at Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK and beyond. We are moved and motivated by our slogan, the words of Mahatma Gandhi: "Be the change you wish to see in the world."

Our signature social justice programs are:

  • The Catalyst Alternative Spring Break Trips, where students travel to cities across the US to engage in continued learning about issues such as food justice, immigration and refugee rights, environmental justice, interfaith collaboration, community building, and more.
  • Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK Votes, wherein the months before election cycles, our office helps facilitate a campaign to maximize voter engagement on campus.
  • Various food access initiatives, programming, and advocacy across Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK, so all students have access to affordable, nutritious, and culturally appropriate foods.
