Fall Move-In

Moving onto campus in the fall? We can’t wait to have you! Below, please find important dates and information to prepare for moving in.

Move-in dates

  • New students: Sunday, August 31, 2025 (between 8 a.m. and noon)
    You'll receive your time slot (and plenty of other information!) via email prior to Move-in Day. When you come to campus, stop by Anderson to check in and grab your keys!
  • Returning students:
    • Sunday, August 31: Check in at Anderson any time between noon and 5 p.m.
    • Monday, September 1: Check in at West Hall 106-A anytime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
    • Tuesday, September 2: Check in at West Hall 106-A anytime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Students who are part of an authorized early arrival group (football, soccer, volleyball, student leaders, international students, cheer, etc.) will move in prior to the August 31 Move-in Day. Students in these groups will receive information from their coaches, group advisor, or director, including the date and time of move-in and instructions for the process.

Look for our email with move-in day logistics

All new and returning students will receive a very detailed email from Residential Life that will walk you through everything you need to know about move-in day logistics. The email will include information on: 

  • Hall, room, and roommate assignments
  • Good-to-know info (i.e., approved appliances, room dimensions, etc.)
  • Key packets
  • Dorm room bedding, care packages
  • Early arrival details
  • Student I.D. cards
  • Addresses for pick-up locations
  • Parking info and State Fair traffic
  • Elevators, moving bins, move-in day supplies
  • Piper football players helping on move-in day
  • All move-in day details
