Mitchell Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK School of Law - Minnesota Justice Foundation
Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK undergraduate/post-baccalaureate students are now eligible to engage in volunteer opportunities through the Mitchell Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK School of Law’s (MHSL) chapter of the Minnesota Justice Foundation (MJF). MJF strives for justice by creating opportunities to perform public interest and pro bono legal services. Previously reserved for law students, these opportunities are now open to all Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK students through Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK’s unique relationship with the MHSL’s chapter of MJF. We encourage students in all areas of study with an interest in law or justice to engage as a volunteer.
If you are interested in pursuing law-related volunteer opportunities, please email Susan Morrow to set up a consultation. She will evaluate your individual interests and schedule to help you find a placement. Students who volunteer extensively will have the opportunity to be recognized by the Center for Justice and Law. In addition, volunteer hours through MJF can be counted toward the service requirement of University Honors.
Student organization: CJL Investigates
CJL Investigates is partnered with the Center for Justice and Law, which works to advance justice by developing creative, concrete, and equitable solutions to legal issues and policy concerns. One of CJL Investigates’ main purposes is to provide Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK students with the ability to openly discuss current events and difficult topics, which may include mass shootings, police policy, foreign policy, and immigration. This student organization is currently not running. If any student is interested in restarting and leading it, contact us at cjl@hamline.edu.
