  LGBTQIA anti-violence program

  Each year, OutFront Minnesota Community Services assists more than 800 people affected by anti-LGBTQ bias crimes or domestic violence. They provide a crisis support line, legal referrals, and free and confidential crisis counseling and advocacy services for LGBTQ crime victims. Call 800-800-0350 for assistance and support.

• State resources

  The Local Public Health Association of Minnesota operates statewide to improve and protect the health of the population of Minnesota by providing leadership and advocacy on behalf of public health issues.

  The MDH's Sexual Violence Prevention Program helps people and organizations identify effective ways to prevent sexual violence.

  MNCASA provides sexual assault information, locations and telephone numbers of other sexual assault programs in Minnesota. Contact MNCASA at 800-964-8847.

  The Minnesota Indian Women's Sexual Assault Coalition is one of 22 Tribal Coalitions around the country formed to address sexual assault and domestic violence in American Indian Communities, focusing specifically on ending and preventing sexual violence.

  MCBW is a membership organization with 90 member programs located throughout Minnesota. It has a long history of effectively carrying out programming that advances women's safety and security.

  The Minnesota Men's Action Network is a public and private prevention effort that promotes men's leadership against sexual violence.

  OutFront Minnesota's mission is to create a state where lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people are free to be who they are, love who they love, and live without fear of violence, harassment, or discrimination.

• National resources

  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention maintains resources for preventing and escaping sexual and domestic violence.

  FORGE is a national transgender anti-violence organization, founded in 1994. Since 2009, they have been federally funded to provide direct services to transgender, gender nonconforming, and gender nonbinary survivors of sexual assault.

  The National Sexual Violence Resource Center is the US's principle information and resource center regarding all aspects of sexual violence.

  The National Coalition to Prevent Child Sexual Exploitation is a reliable source for current information on missing and exploited children.

  The Prevention Institute addresses complex health and social issues beyond approaches that target individuals, one person at a time, to create systematic, comprehensive strategies that change the conditions that impact community health.

  Prevent Connect is a national online project dedicated to the primary prevention of violence against women.

  The Stop Violence Against Women project is a forum for information, advocacy, and change around safety and security in women's lives.

  RAINN provides news, information, and national directory of programs working with sexual assault. Their 24-hour hotline will connect callers with the nearest sexual assault program at 800-656-4673.

  The Department of Justice's Office of Violence Against Women provides national leadership in the effort to confront sexual violence, a significant crime against women at home and abroad.
