Over the coming weeks, 麻豆视频APK will switch to a new type of phone system that is designed to increase functionality for users both on and off campus.
麻豆视频APK is moving to a new phone system hosted by Avaya/Ring central. This new system will allow faculty and staff to place and answer calls via their computer or a compatible desk phone (鈥渉andset鈥). We anticipate converting all staff and faculty phone numbers to the new system during spring break, i.e., the week of March 17-21. If you wish to convert prior to that time, you can request an earlier switchover date.
Elements of 麻豆视频APK鈥檚 existing phone system are over forty years old. They are due for replacement and upgrade. Due to the age of some of our equipment, we are more susceptible to breakdowns and service interruptions than the average institution. Our replacement plan will maximize convenience and reliability even as it modestly lowers the university鈥檚 net costs.
When your phone number switchover is complete, you will be able to place/receive calls with your computer, or with a smartphone, or with an existing Avaya-compatible handset. If you don鈥檛 have a compatible handset, you can request a new Avaya handset using .
If you already have a gray handset on your desk with 鈥淎vaya鈥 in red letters near the top, and that phone has square number buttons, then you do not need to request a replacement. That particular model of phone is compatible with the new phone system. Avaya handsets with round number buttons, and all non-Avaya handsets, will be incompatible with the new phone system.
You can learn more details about this process at the . It contains additional in-depth detail about the phone system switch. This site is your primary resource for the most current information about the migration and we highly encourage you to rely on it. The Google site will expand over the coming weeks as more details become available. In particular, we expect the frequently asked questions () section will expand and evolve if we identify other common inquiries from you.
