All members of the Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK community are welcome to join alumni for our next Alumni Relations Leo Lecture on Thursday April 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. via zoom. Join award-winning multimedia producer and storyteller John Shepard, Assistant Director, Associate Professor, and Director of Multimedia Development at Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK's Center for Global Environmental Education, for "A Sea Change for Lake Superior: An Education and Stewardship Initiative."
Famously frigid Lake Superior—the world’s largest lake—is also one of the fastest warming lakes in the world due to impacts of climate change. Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK’s Center for Global Environmental Education is employing a mix of media strategies to alert large audiences in the region to this fact and its far-reaching implications. Learn how Emmy-winning public TV programs, a network of museum-quality Multimedia Gallery exhibit kiosks, a free Pocket Gallery mobile app, programs for teachers and schools, and the nation’s largest citizen stormwater-stewardship program are raising awareness and moving people from understanding to action.
More information, and registration, can be found at . Not available on the 10th? All Leo Lectures can be found on the Alumni Relations website and can be viewed on demand.
