Dear Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK community,
While Dr. Kathleen Murray is ably serving as Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK’s acting/interim president, the process for finding her successor is now underway. The Board of Trustees has formed a Presidential Search Ad-Hoc Advisory Committee. The committee is comprised of the following:
- Eight members of the Board of Trustees: Cindy Gregorson ’81 (Chair), Philip Bell, Robin Dietz-Mayfield ’77 JD ’93, Jeanne Forneris, Gwen Lerner JD ’78, Bob Klas ’75, Matt Massman ’88, and Andrea Mowery ’93
- Two faculty members, selected from four nominees of the Faculty Council Executive Committee: Jeff Bailey and Sarah Greenman
- One staff member, selected from two nominees of the Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK Staff Association: Jarred Sampson ’00
- Two students, selected from two nominees of the Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK Undergraduate Student Congress (they will share the role of student representative): Elisa Lopez and Oliver Engstrom
The committee’s work will begin on Monday, June 3, and continue until at least two candidates are recommended to the Board of Trustees in the late fall/early winter with the goal of the next President starting work on July 1, 2025.
The Board of Trustees has retained the services of Academic Search to assist us. They recently assisted with our Vice President for Finance and Administration and Vice President for Enrollment Management searches, and will also assist with the upcoming search for our next Provost. Consultants Ms. Maya Kirkhope and Dr. Katherine Haley will visit campus early this summer to meet with various members of the campus community to learn more about Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK. They will hear from faculty, staff, students, trustees, alumni, and the search committee about the important work we need to do in the coming years, and the qualities, skills, and attributes we seek in our next president.
I will continue to update you as the search progresses. Thank you for your continued interest in, and support for, this process.
Cindy Gregorson ’81
