Stacie Bosley, professor of economics, organized and moderated a panel of international scholars studying multi-level marketing and consumer protection issues as part of a conference recently held at the offices of the District of Columbia's Attorney General. The conference's keynote speaker was from the Federal Trade Commission's Division of Marketing Practices, and the event included speakers from the National Consumers League, the Consumer Federation of America, Democracy Forward, Truth in Advertising, and social media activists, among others.
