Larson Presents at Minnesota Justice Research Center Annual Conference

Ryan Larson, assistant professor of criminology and criminal justice,  presented at the 's (MNJRC) Annual Conference entitled, "Re-Imagining Justice: Centering Humanity Over Fear". Larson presented collaboratively with Chris Robertson (University of Minnesota Sociology Ph.D. Candidate) and Kamisha Johnson, LGSW (Amani Healing Services) discussing ongoing collaborative work tracing the public health consequences of the police murder of Mr. George Floyd on May 25, 2020, future scholarship examining the complex relationships between historical racialized exclusion (redlining, racial covenants), police violence, and health disparities by race, as well as contemporary racial healing practices in practice in the MSP area.
