Shacheyanna “SJ” Johnson serves as the student area coordinator for the Heights residence halls, beginning her tenure with the Office of Residential Life in the fall of 2023. Commencing her journey as a resident assistant (RA) for first-year university students, SJ has honed her abilities, fostering a conducive environment for student living. She endorses the integration of intellectual insight and empathy in student interactions, fostering a nurturing atmosphere within the residence halls.
In addition to her role within ResLife, SJ contributes to campus security operations and actively participates in campus events, extending support to various organizational initiatives. Beyond her professional commitments, SJ is an avid reader and bibliophile, aspiring to curate a personal library.
SJ offers invaluable guidance to incoming students, emphasizing the importance of self-care, mental well-being, and practical tips for campus life, such as the essentiality of footwear in communal areas.
