Divya Bhaskaran
Divya Bhaskaran is an assistant professor in the exercise science program at Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK. She received her PhD in Rehabilitation Science from University of Minnesota. She has worked as a post-doctoral associate at Mayo Clinic and University of Minnesota, where she worked with clinicians, therapists, and engineers and gained experience conducting clinical trials. Her research experience includes conducting biomechanical analyses on marathon runners, hand prosthesis feasibility studies, and clinical trials using neuromodulation devices.
Her research lab focuses on lower extremity sports biomechanics and the effects of exercise on rehabilitation. Working with athletes and understanding their biomechanics during activities will give students an experience to apply their classroom content in real life. Dr. Bhaskaran is passionate about bringing the exciting world of sports into classrooms. She aspires to help students understand the various aspects of science in our day-to-day lives.
