• Post-Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO)
  • The school must be regionally accredited

  • A maximum of 64 semester credits may be transferred from PSEO course work
  • The total number of credits transferred from PSEO, CIS, AP, IB, CLEP and DSST may not exceed 64 semester credits
• College in the Schools (CIS)/college courses taken at your high school
  • The school must be regionally accredited
  • The minimum grade for transfer is C-
  • Courses must be considered college-level and relevant to a liberal arts degree
  • The total number of credits transferred from PSEO, CIS, AP, IB, CLEP and DSST may not exceed 64 semester credits
  • An official transcript must be received from the college or university awarding college credit (not the high school)
• Advanced Placement (AP)
  • Generally, the minimum score required is 4. In some cases (mostly foreign languages) a score of 3 is accepted.
  • Each accepted exam receives 4 semester credits.
  • A maximum of 20 semester credits from AP exams may be transferred.
  • The total number of credits transferred from PSEO, CIS, AP, IB, CLEP and DSST may not exceed 64 semester credits.
  • English (Language and Composition and Literature and Composition) exams do not meet Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK's first-year writing requirement.
  •  Check if your AP scores qualify for credit.

• International Baccalaureate (IB)
  • Credit is granted for the higher level exams only
  • The minimum required score is 4 or 5 depending on the subject area
  • Each accepted exam receives either 4 or 8 semester credits, depending on the exam
  • A maximum of 20 credits from IB exams may be transferred
  • The total number of credits transferred from PSEO, CIS, AP, IB, CLEP and DSST may not exceed 64 semester credits
  • English A exams do not meet Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK's first-year writing requirement
  • Check if your IB scores qualify for credit
• College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
  • Scores at or above the (usually 50) may receive academic credit
  • English Composition CLEP exams do not meet Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK's first-year writing requirement
  • A maximum of 16 semester credits from CLEP exams may be transferred
  • The total number of credits transferred from PSEO, CIS, AP, IB, CLEP and DSST may not exceed 64 semester credits
• DSST Examination Program (DANTES)
  • Scores at or above the American Council on Education's recommended score (usually mid- to upper-40s) may receive academic credit
  • Credit is subject to approval by the appropriate academic department at Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK
  • Technical Writing DSST exams do not meet Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK's first-year writing requirement
  • A maximum of 16 semester credits from DSST exams may be transferred
  • The total number of credits transferred from PSEO, CIS, AP, IB, CLEP and DSST may not exceed 64 semester credits
• Study abroad
  • Academic credit is granted for course work completed through a Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK-approved study abroad program
  • Grades must be equivalent to at least a C- to be eligible for transfer
  • Transcripts from study-away experiences should be sent to the International and Off-Campus Programs Office where they are evaluated for credit and grade equivalencies
• Transferring credit from foreign institutions

  Transcripts from foreign schools (except those from a Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK study abroad program) must be submitted to an outside agency for course-by-course evaluation and processing before a Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK evaluation can be completed. The agency must be a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). These organizations usually charge students a fee for evaluation services. Three commonly used agencies are:

• Military credit
  • Credit is granted for courses from Joint Military Transcript (JST) and the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF)
  • Courses must be considered college-level and relevant to a liberal arts degree
  • A maximum of 32 semester credits from military transcripts may be transferred
