• 1. Complete your application

  Students hoping to use VA educational benefits should complete an application at va.gov. If approved, the VA will mail you a Certificate of Eligibility (COE).

• 2. Take the right steps to get certified

  Now that you have completed your application and have received a Certificate of Eligibility, please check the steps below and reach out to our School Certifying Official, Jonathan Neville at jneville01@hamline.edu.

  • Submit the online once you have your Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK email address
  • Provide your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) or Notice of Basic Eligibility (NOBE)
  • Provide copy 4 of your DD214 (dependents and spouses using transferred eligibility are exempt from this requirement)
  • Submit the online (if you’re 100% eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill)

  You only need to go through these steps one time. After that, your enrollment will be submitted to the VA every term unless you request otherwise.

• College Scorecard

  make it easier for you to search for a college that is a good fit for you. You can use the College Scorecard to find out more about a college’s affordability and value so you can make more informed decisions about which college to attend.

  On , you can search for and compare colleges on all sorts of criteria including costs, majors offered, size of school, campus safety, and graduation rates.

• Financial Aid Shopping Sheet

  The Financial Aid Shopping Sheet is a consumer tool used to notify students about their financial aid packages. It is a standardized form that is designed to simplify the information that prospective students receive about costs and financial aid so that they can easily compare institutions and make informed decisions about where to attend school.

  All students who have notified the school that they are using VA benefits can print out a shopping sheet from Workday once they have completed a FAFSA. Please contact the School Certifying Official to be sent a shopping sheet upon request.

• Tuition Assistance (TA) DECIDE

  The Department of Defense has developed the tool to make it easier than ever to compare schools and programs to help you meet your education goals. The tool, uniquely designed for participants of the Department of Defense Military Tuition Assistance program, provides education costs and outcomes, as well as data on military students participating in the tuition assistance program.
