Dear Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK Community:
During August and September, the search consultants from Academic Search were actively recruiting candidates, ultimately building our pool to more than 90 applicants. Thank you to those of you who submitted nominations. Earlier this week, the Presidential Search Committee had the challenging task of narrowing that candidate pool considerably. With the help of Academic Search who categorized the applications into three groups for our consideration, the search committee's thorough review of the letters of interest and resumes, and robust conversation, we were able to select a small group for our upcoming two days of lightning-round Zoom interviews on October 21 and 22. During this process we will determine the six or eight semi-finalists candidates who we will invite to Minnesota for in-person interviews with the search committee.
We are pleased with the wide-ranging backgrounds and experiences of the candidates and the varied gifts they would bring to Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK. All of them exhibit remarkable achievements in their current roles, and demonstrate a strong commitment to higher education with a clear-eyed understanding of its changing realities. We are looking forward to being able to engage in conversation with each of the candidates about Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK’s unique opportunities and challenges. The next round of interviews—with those who are moved forward as semi-finalists—are in-person interviews on November 6 and 7 at an off-campus location in the Twin Cities. As a reminder, our search process is confidential in order to have the highest potential pool of applicants and therefore we cannot share with you names or details of applicants that would identify them. Thank you for your understanding as you engage with members of the search committee.
There will be an opportunity for a limited group of representative stakeholders to engage with our candidates in the finalist round of interviews in mid-November. More information about that process will be coming in the near future.
Thank you for your support of the work of the Presidential Search Committee and your continued commitment to Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK.
Sincerely,

Cindy Gregorson ’81
